Roller Dying Bug Core Exercise

New Move It Monday exercise, the Roller Dying Bug. Give the core exercise a go and let us know what you think!

The focus here is to keep your lower back flat, ribs and belly button towards the floor the whole time, and small crunch held at the top. You’re pushing with your hands to add resistance to your legs and not let the legs come up to high. Go slow and reach out with your legs only as far as you can without your back arching up.

This exercise is a great core challenge that can be made more difficult by pushing hard with your arms or holding a weighted bar, while at the same time, can be made easier by doing less of a crunch in the upper torso.

Move It Monday will feature a new exercise movement for you weekly, to help improve your safety and performance with dance.
